Job Overview

The selected candidate will collaborate with other field technicians to provide service and maintenance for the Company's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) systems at various client locations, primarily focusing on marine ports.

This role demands a versatile individual who is eager to undergo training to execute all responsibilities in line with established safety, regulatory, and operational protocols.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and management. A mechanical aptitude is also required.

Location

Primarily based in marine ports, with a requirement to travel to various client sites as needed.


Key Responsibilities

Stabilis Solutions reserves the right to modify the duties or essential functions of the job at any time.

  • Service and maintain cryogenic pumping systems, mechanical piping, valves, and pressure relief systems.
  • Handle maintenance and operation of Mobile LNG equipment and facilitate delivery truck transfers to marine vessels.
  • Identify components on piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and locate them in the field.
  • Comprehend service manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other documentation.
  • Follow directions from remote engineers or supervisors to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Participate in system commissioning activities and conduct regular monitoring and inspections.
  • Operate LNG systems outdoors, occasionally in challenging weather conditions.
  • Assemble and disassemble critical machinery using hand and power tools as per layout plans.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine troubleshooting paths.
  • Adhere to all safety, environmental, and U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
  • Complete necessary training and certification requirements.
  • Maintain safe work practices, following Log Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification in electrical or mechanical fields is advantageous.
  • Minimum one year of experience in the petroleum or chemical sector; LNG and/or cryogenic experience is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles.
  • Ability to identify components on P&ID diagrams.
  • Experience with cryogenic refrigeration or gas processing is a plus.
  • Capability to work autonomously in demanding industrial settings.
  • Comfortable working on live equipment.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, with basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to foster effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Field Conditions
