Job Overview

Location: Mebane; Training at GKN Timberlake

As a Production Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assembly machinery and equipment. Your role will include:

1. Adhering to the cell qualification process to achieve certification as a qualified associate.
2. Supplying line feeds as necessary to maintain production flow.
3. Assembling components in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
4. Conducting all required quality assurance checks to ensure product integrity.
5. Completing necessary documentation, including VE logs, first piece checks, reference number logs, scrap logs, and rework logs.
6. Executing all changeover operations on machinery accurately.
7. Sorting, tagging, and placing all scrap and rework items in designated areas.
8. Performing first piece inspections to validate assembly quality.
9. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
