GKN Automotive is seeking a skilled Assembly Operator to join our team. As an Assembly Operator, you will be responsible for operating all assembly equipment and machinery in a correct and safe manner at the required rate.
Key Responsibilities- Operate all assembly equipment and machinery in a correct and safe manner at the required rate.
- Follow the cell qualification process to achieve sign-off as a qualified associate.
- Line feed as required to ensure efficient production.
- Ensure that parts and components are assembled in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform all required quality checks to ensure high-quality products.
- Complete all relevant documentation, including VE logs, 1st Piece Check, Reference Number log, scrap log, rework log, etc.
- Perform changeover operations on all machines correctly to minimize downtime.
- Separate, tag, and place all scrap/rework parts in designated areas.
- Perform first piece inspection to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure all housekeeping duties have been performed to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
