First Shift (United States of America)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Production Assembler will execute responsibilities outlined for Assembler I, with additional training and responsibilities specified in Essential Job Functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Serve as an on-the-job trainer for machinery and assembly cells.
- Act as a backup for Area Lead.
- Function as a backup for Material Handler.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards consistently.
Carry out tasks including sanding, polishing, cleaning, assembly, and packing as assigned.
Be adaptable to engage in various packing and assembly operations, including but not limited to Camshelving, Bus Box, Coldfest, All Structural Web items, and Dishrack.
Operate necessary assembly equipment following proper training protocols.
Required to read and adhere to assembly schedules, complete tickets, and create labels.
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, being punctual and dependable to meet departmental and organizational needs.
Successfully execute each essential duty to perform the job effectively.
Adhere to all safety protocols in the work area, utilize PPE as necessary, attend safety meetings, and report any safety concerns regarding equipment or hazardous conditions.
Work effectively as a team member, collaborating well with others, being open to feedback, and treating everyone with respect.
Take ownership of personal work and behavior, accept accountability for actions, encourage solutions, and communicate the status of work/projects.
Follow all departmental quality standards and criteria, raising concerns and issues to the immediate manager.
Demonstrate an understanding of Cambro company culture and display core values (Safety, Quality, Respect, and Service). Recognize departmental key performance indicators and contribute to achieving these goals both individually and as part of a team.
OTHER DUTIES
Perform additional responsibilities as needed or required.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and may require overtime as necessary, remaining flexible and open to potential schedule changes to meet business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Relevant work experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be a collaborative team player, self-motivated, and open-minded.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, maintain high-quality work standards, and adapt quickly to new projects and assignments.
- Must be available to work any shift as required.
