About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at GKN Automotive. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our assembly equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate all assembly equipment and machinery in a correct and safe manner at the required rate.
  • Follow the cell qualification process to achieve sign-off as a qualified associate.
  • Line feed as required to meet production demands.
  • Ensure that parts and components are assembled in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform all required quality checks to ensure high-quality products.
  • Complete all relevant documentation, including VE logs, 1st Piece Check, Reference Number log, scrap log, rework log, etc.
  • Perform changeover operations on all machines correctly to minimize downtime.
  • Separate, tag, and place all scrap/rework parts in designated areas.
  • Perform first piece inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ensure all housekeeping duties have been performed to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
