Job Overview: Trust Advisor III - Comerica Advisor Solutions
Our Strategic Alliance represents a professional partnership between two leading financial institutions. This collaboration enables clients to benefit from Comerica Bank & Trust, N.A.'s expert trust administration services, alongside the offerings of their Financial Advisor, through a tailored, service-oriented model.

The Trust Advisor III within our Comerica Advisor Solutions team is tasked with managing relationships for a designated portfolio by providing expertise on specific trust documents, overseeing comprehensive estate planning, and collaborating directly with our Financial Advisor partners.

This role's active participation in business development is anticipated to significantly contribute to achieving the annual net new business objectives for the division.

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication abilities, problem-solving skills, relevant functional and technical expertise, the capacity to handle multiple tasks, adherence to service standards, and a customer-centric focus.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage routine accounts in accordance with governing documents, applicable laws, and the needs of principals, income beneficiaries, and remaindermen.
- Review, analyze, and interpret documents for guidance; assess accounts for completeness and accuracy, monitor account transactions, and respond to client inquiries to ensure compliance with governing documents, laws, and policies.
- Collaborate with management to develop solutions for issues raised by principals, income beneficiaries, and remaindermen, such as requests for special distributions or fee disputes.
- Oversee the initiation and closure of accounts, ensuring the collection of necessary documentation, complete asset transfers, accurate cost basis reporting, and proper categorization of cash as income or principal, while managing tax reporting activities in coordination with external CPAs and advisors.
- Provide comprehensive wealth planning guidance to clients and participate in initiatives that enhance overall business efficiency and service delivery.

- Maintain direct communication with Financial Advisor partners, clients, and internal stakeholders, offering timely updates on account activities and promptly addressing requests.
- Collaborate with Advisor Solutions Trust Specialists to generate new business opportunities through established networks.

Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Work Category: Category C - In-office days will vary between 2-5 days per week.
Salary Range: For candidates located in specific states, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for this role is:
- California: $91,250 - $183,750 Annually
Salary ranges are subject to change based on various factors including position, grade level, location, skillset, and peer compensation.
