As a Senior Biological Consultant at Stantec Consulting International Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in leading our Environmental Services Practice within the power utility sector. Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
  • Oversee and coordinate comprehensive biological desktop reviews for various public and private utility projects.
  • Provide quality assurance and maintain high safety standards for biological reports and memos produced by junior staff and subcontractors.
  • Assist in environmental permitting processes across multiple projects throughout the region.
  • Support multidisciplinary teams in the execution and delivery of utility operations and maintenance projects.
  • Manage author teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in biology or environmental science.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills.
  • Experience leading large desktop review teams and familiarity with California’s flora and fauna.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build client relationships.

Work Environment

This position allows for flexible work arrangements, including remote work options. You will primarily work in an office environment, with potential fieldwork exposure to various weather conditions.
