Position Overview

Join Principal Financial Group as a Senior Sales Executive specializing in Retirement Solutions. This role is designed for individuals ready to leverage their expertise in a dynamic environment focused on delivering exceptional financial products.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will collaborate with local financial intermediaries to effectively promote our retirement offerings. Your contributions will include:
  • Driving sales of retirement plans by engaging with advisors to advocate for defined contribution and defined benefit solutions tailored for retirement plans within the 0 - 10M AUM or 0-25 AUM range.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with financial advisors and third-party administrators to enhance our market presence.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in retirement sales with comprehensive knowledge of retirement products.
  • A strong work ethic and a drive to achieve or surpass set objectives.
  • Exceptional consultation and presentation abilities.
  • A solid understanding of portfolio management, capital markets, and financial service offerings.
  • Experience with non-qualified plans, defined benefit plans, and ESOPs is advantageous.
Licensing Requirements

Within five months of employment, candidates must obtain:
  • Successful registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent) and FINRA Series 63.
  • Resident Life and Health appointment.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales roles may participate in a bonus program, while sales roles are eligible for sales incentives and potential bonuses based on individual performance. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, education, and licensure requirements.
Time Off and Pension

We offer a Flexible Time Off (FTO) program for salaried employees, allowing them to take paid time away from work for various reasons without accruing a set number of days.
