POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is pivotal in driving change and fostering collaboration among operational, clinical, and information systems personnel to achieve significant improvements in quality and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive strategies to incorporate data into electronic health records, enhancing usability and reporting capabilities.
  • Design improvement methodologies based on a thorough understanding of infrastructure and business requirements, focusing on maximizing the effectiveness of electronic medical records and clinical systems in patient care delivery.
  • Implement process enhancements and integrate performance metrics into initiatives that leverage data from clinical and administrative records, presented in user-friendly graphical formats to pinpoint actionable opportunities.
  • Utilize analytical and evaluative skills to uncover substantial performance enhancement opportunities at the project level.
  • Lead engagement initiatives aimed at refining physician and staff practices in patient care, informed by various models and benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes within designated timeframes, utilizing available resources efficiently.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews and analyses of care provided to specific patient populations across the healthcare system.
  • Facilitate the establishment of collaborative improvement teams, guiding efforts to meet team objectives through variance analysis and recommendations for practice modifications.
  • Design, implement, and assess systems and processes that support improved outcomes tailored to the needs of specific patient populations.
  • Guide teams through process improvement initiatives using quality enhancement tools such as brainstorming, affinity diagrams, and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Evaluate the local stakeholder landscape and cultivate support for addressing improvement opportunities among various levels of staff and management.
  • Build and manage relationships to drive transformational change with healthcare professionals and leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in process management methodologies; training in Lean and Six Sigma is preferred.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with experience managing multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in business analytics, project management, or healthcare operations.
  • At least one year of experience in managing physician practices, with a comprehensive understanding of daily operational requirements.
