LOCATION REQUIREMENT: Must reside within 2.5 hours of Lancaster, PA

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is pivotal in driving change and fostering shared accountability among operational, clinical, and information systems personnel to achieve transformative outcomes aimed at enhancing quality and efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, and refine comprehensive strategies to incorporate data into electronic health records, ensuring user-friendliness and effective reporting.
  • Develop improvement strategies based on a thorough understanding of infrastructure and business requirements, focusing on maximizing the utility of electronic medical records and clinical system applications in patient care delivery.
  • Embed process enhancements and outcome metrics into initiatives that utilize electronic data from clinical and administrative records, presenting findings in clear graphical formats with detailed insights to identify actionable opportunities.
  • Utilize analytical and evaluative skills to pinpoint significant performance improvement opportunities at the project level.
  • Drive engagement initiatives to enhance physician and staff practices in patient care, leveraging various models such as Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), clinical guidelines, best practices, and benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to achieve patient outcomes efficiently, utilizing available resources effectively.
  • Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews and analyses of care provided to designated patient populations across the healthcare system.
  • Facilitate the formation of collaborative improvement teams, leading efforts to meet team goals, including variance analysis, aggregate trend analysis, and practice change recommendations to enhance outcomes.
  • Design, implement, and assess systems and processes aimed at improving outcomes tailored to the specific needs of designated patient populations.
  • Guide teams through process improvement initiatives using quality improvement tools such as brainstorming, affinity diagrams, Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), and fishbone diagrams.
  • Evaluate the local stakeholder landscape and cultivate support among line staff, department managers, physicians, and program leaders to address improvement opportunities.
  • Establish and nurture relationships to facilitate transformational change with line staff, physicians, and program leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Management, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in process management with training in lean methodologies and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least three (3) years of professional experience in business analytics, project management, or healthcare operations.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in managing physician practices, including a comprehensive understanding of daily operational requirements.
