Key Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Lead the improvement of processes and systems for the company, implementing programs that will have continuing long-term benefits.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor existing processes to ensure they continue to perform at optimal levels of efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Guide and challenge cross-functional teams in development and initiation of continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time, inventory, and waste while improving process performance, quality, and standardizing processes.
  • Method Development: Guide the development of methods and better practices to reduce process variation and support the development of new processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with colleagues, functional leaders, and other departments to ensure that strategic objectives are considered in ongoing projects to achieve identified goals.
  • Continuous Improvement Training: Ensure continuous improvement training, tools, better practices, and resources are available to associates at all levels and are being applied appropriately and effectively.
  • SOP Implementation: Implement SOPs across the Baltimore Parts Center.
  • Waste Reduction: Work with teams on the shop floor to complete waste walks and improvement actions.
  • Process Documentation: Document processes and support projects at BPC (Shipping Office, Accounting, and supporting projects like 5S, Warehouse Layout design, etc).
  • Dashboards Development: Work on various dashboards that need to be developed.
  • Location Redesign: Work on location redesign, labeling, and slotting.
  • Process Quizzes: Work with Quality Engineer to create process quizzes for Acadia for other functional areas (Customer Service, Supply Chain, etc).
Requirements
  • Education: University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills: Highly effective interpersonal and organizational skills, professional communication, and decision-making abilities.
  • Leadership: Ability to exercise influence without authority.
  • Strategic Thinking: Adept to thinking strategically, envisioning future states, and creating change.
  • Proactivity: Ability to be proactive, follow up, and follow through on regular activities and lead projects.
  • Relationship Building: Be able to establish solid relationships with diverse internal and external clientele.
