Job Summary

Zentech Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in New Product Integration and Continuous Improvement. As a key member of our production team, you will work closely with experienced engineers to develop repeatable processes for production at scale, refine existing processes for efficiency, and drive down costs and defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise to Production operations to ensure smooth execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Process Development: Review drawings, sketches, schematics, manuals, or sample parts to establish appropriate manufacturing processes and create production documentation from customer files and standard manufacturing practices.
  • Process Optimization: Create efficient production processes and work instructions to build and ship custom configured products, and perform Root Cause Analysis to support Quality Team on Corrective Actions.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Reviews: Perform DFM reviews as needed to ensure manufacturability and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) into production documentation as required.
  • Production Support: Follow-up with Production on assemblies during New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes, and establish methods to improve production processes for cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): Review industry standards and customer requirements, and act as a SME to drive best practices for manufacturability.
  • Operational Procedures: Develop and document operational procedures for equipment and train Production personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. degree in an engineering field, particularly Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, with hands-on knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly equipment.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to communicate effectively, and experience in engineering support within a manufacturing operation.
  • Certifications: Lean Certificate or Six Sigma belt, and certification in manufacturing standards required for electronics manufacturing (IPC-610, J-STD-001).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to regularly reach and lift up to 30 pounds, good vision (glasses or contacts accepted), and ability to inspect small fine detail.
