Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of construction project management processes for both new and ongoing projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, timelines, and financial goals. This role involves establishing governance standards, processes, and tools to facilitate effective project management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project budgets and RFPs.
  • Oversee pre-bid processes and coordination.
  • Manage all design phases and documentation.
  • Engage with clients to fulfill project requirements.
  • Supervise contractors and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee construction activities and lead the commissioning process.
  • Ensure the successful hand-off of project documentation to operations.

Essential Functions

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively.
  • Lead all phases of construction, including pre-construction, design, permitting, and project closeout.
  • Facilitate project approval processes from concept to execution.
  • Implement quality control and safety measures based on partner contracts and design specifications.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and provide reports.
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and contractor billing reviews.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage relationships.
  • Document and implement lessons learned and process improvements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with operations to align design criteria with budgetary considerations.
  • Supervise subordinate staff and ensure departmental goals are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years leading construction projects, with 7+ years preferred.
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in civil, structural, architectural, and MEP construction management is essential.
  • Data Center experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Cx Alloy, and P6 is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 50%).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and adapt to the physical demands of a construction site.
