Responsibilities

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization responsible for franchising IT services and capabilities across the broader entity, contributing to enterprise initiatives and mission elements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of databases for extraction purposes and providing recommendations for archiving solutions and replacement application platforms.
  • Creating comprehensive technical documentation on various subjects related to the decommissioning effort, including processing instructions, data extraction guidelines, and ADO review protocols.
  • Coordinating reviews, scheduling meetings, and preparing briefings and presentations.
  • Collaborating closely with both technical and non-technical teams to facilitate the transition of databases to enterprise capabilities.
  • Engaging with a project team focused on the decommissioning initiative, working alongside other systems integrators, technical directors, and program managers.
  • Utilizing custom extraction applications to troubleshoot and resolve migration issues.
  • Preparing reports and providing updates on extraction and migration statuses.
  • Offering recommendations and best practices for efficient and reliable data transition.
  • Assisting the project team with data collection and system oversight.
  • Contributing to decommission strategies and addressing related issues.
  • Maintaining an inventory of databases, tracking activity and metrics, and supporting the decommissioning process.
  • Acting as a recognized technical liaison between various stakeholders.
  • Supporting program management offices with metrics gathering and creating custom views based on requirements.
  • Leading technical exchange meetings regarding decommission options.
Qualifications
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • 12 years of experience, including over 1 year supporting the organization.
  • Proven ability to coordinate project schedules effectively.
  • Experience in managing program review processes and control gates.
  • Skilled in preparing management plans and reports.
  • Ability to maintain organized correspondence and documentation.
  • Proficient in composing technical documents, including user manuals and training materials.
  • Experience in collecting, compiling, and analyzing information and statistical data.
  • Adept at working in dynamic and challenging environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and management in program planning.
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Experience with Lotus Notes transitioning.
  • Extensive knowledge of the organization-wide decommissioning effort.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying problems and providing effective solutions.
  • Analytical skills to address complex mission-related issues.
