Position Summary: This role is crucial for overseeing the delivery of intricate, multidisciplinary engineering projects. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in engineering, architecture, and construction to effectively interpret, organize, coordinate, and execute tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project performance aligns with or surpasses client expectations.
  • Oversee financial and contractual management of assigned projects.
  • Manage both internal and external engineering resources, government entities, and client personnel to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, contractors, and design/construction teams.
  • Foster and enhance client relationships, seeking opportunities for repeat business and new ventures.
  • Maintain constant communication with team members to guarantee project milestones are met and quality standards are upheld.
  • Handle multiple multidisciplinary projects while adhering to established protocols and practices.
  • Guide and support the multidisciplinary design team members.
  • Ensure projects are executed according to design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
  • Manage administrative project tasks, including contract evaluations, bidding processes, scheduling, financial processing, and reporting.
  • Represent the organization at various community and business engagements.
  • Assist in resolving technical conflicts and mitigating risks within projects.
  • Develop project proposals, budgets, work breakdown structures, and integration plans with team collaboration.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and review invoicing from internal and subcontractors.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to project managers regarding project execution and lessons learned.
  • Identify and implement improvements to project management processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., Project or P6).
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (AIA) preferred.
  • Significant experience in managing design and construction projects with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.

Working Conditions: The role is primarily office-based, with occasional fieldwork required. The office environment is generally quiet and comfortable, while fieldwork may involve exposure to various weather conditions. Some physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., may be necessary. Regional travel may be required for meetings and collaboration with team members.
