The ePlus Information Technology Services (ITS) Department is engaged in a variety of technology implementation and operational support projects that require expert project, program, and portfolio management. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of IT-related initiatives from initiation to completion.

Your Impact

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading complex projects from inception to completion by managing scope, timeline, resources, and budget while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Securing commitment from executive sponsors and stakeholders for the necessary resources to successfully deliver projects.
  • Providing updates to executive sponsors and stakeholders on project progress, including milestones, risks, and budget forecasts.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders.
  • Overseeing, mentoring, and developing the project team.
  • Building lasting relationships with internal teams to enhance opportunities and satisfaction.
  • Applying ePlus methodologies and enforcing project standards effectively.
  • Creating project charters and management plans as needed based on project scope.
  • Maintaining project plans that outline tasks, deliverables, milestones, and costs, and recommending adjustments as necessary.
  • Identifying dependencies on other corporate initiatives and coordinating with relevant sponsors and project managers.
  • Organizing project milestones and managing the production of key deliverables.
  • Assessing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Monitoring and resolving project issues and action items.
  • Assigning tasks to team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Tracking project progress and estimating timelines and efforts.
  • Ensuring quality reviews and approvals of deliverables at appropriate stages.
  • Defining roles and responsibilities for team members and ensuring clarity of expectations.
  • Releasing team members from project obligations when their roles conclude.
  • Facilitating project team meetings and ensuring effective documentation of minutes and action items.
  • Encouraging a culture of creativity, collaboration, and recognition among team members.
  • Documenting and sharing lessons learned and project-related assets.
  • Participating in steering committee meetings for the project.
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and the rollout of new technologies.
  • Developing transition plans for smooth handover to operations.
  • Collaborating with the Project, Program, and Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to align project management activities with PMO standards.
Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Over 10 years of experience in IT project management, including leading and delivering at least two of the following: (1) IT software package implementation, (2) software development, (3) operations & maintenance enhancements, or (4) technology refresh and rollout projects using Agile, Hybrid, or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in cross-functional team building and management across various IT domains.
  • Proficiency in sourcing, evaluating, and managing vendors and contractors.
  • Experience collaborating with internal professional services and business development teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in risk, issue, and action item management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Management consulting experience.
  • Ability to identify and recommend operational improvements.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
Position Specifics

The salary range for this position is expected to be between $105,000 and $145,000 annually, depending on various factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional elements such as commissions and discretionary bonuses, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
