Job Overview

University Physicians' Association is seeking a skilled Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at University Cancer Specialists.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor incoming referrals from various sources and accurately input information into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, patients, and referring offices to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Handle sensitive patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collect and verify necessary paperwork for new and existing patients.
  • Stay up-to-date on practice policies and accepted insurance providers.
  • Contact referring offices and patients to gather missing or undocumented information.
  • Create appointments in our scheduling book and notify patients/referring offices accordingly.
  • Maintain detailed records of incoming referrals and assist with phone coverage when needed.
