Overview
The Senior Business Analyst provides strategic guidance and support to management and client organizations. This role involves conducting in-depth studies and analyses, formulating alternatives, presenting insights to leadership, and influencing key decisions. The analyst will research, evaluate, and implement innovative strategies, programs, and processes in response to evolving internal and external dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
Foster a customer-centric culture and strive for exceptional outcomes for clients. Collect and scrutinize essential data (demographics, conditions, costs, lifecycle) from diverse sources. Review business system data and compare actuals against established targets. Assess business workflows, perform specialized studies, create alternatives, and present insights to management to influence decision-making. Identify and propose long-term asset data management and system enhancements to strategically balance risk and reward. Formulate and endorse long-term asset management programs. Implement optimal lifecycle and associated cost models for network assets. Oversee the budgeting process to ensure stakeholder needs are met. Simplify complex financial information for clear communication across the organization. Serve as an authority on maintaining the financial integrity of data. Investigate and assess relevant data, evaluate intricate situations, devise innovative alternatives, provide recommendations, and negotiate outcomes.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At least seven years of experience in a relevant field directly related to the responsibilities of this position. Skills in program design, including the development of interventions, processes, or new or modified programs to meet client needs. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and clients to foster positive outcomes. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, including the capacity to build trust, maintain confidence, and comprehend social behaviors and interactions. Capability to collaborate with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate results. Proficiency in listening and communicating effectively through both oral and written means. Skilled in utilizing personal computers to gather, analyze, and summarize data. Project management and leadership capabilities, including the ability to work collaboratively, maintain project timelines, budgets, and fulfill commitments. Familiarity with research, analysis, and consulting methodologies, as well as company policies, procedures, practices, and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in Utility Operations within a financial capacity.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous.
• Experience in guiding and developing budget/reporting processes.
• Ability to manage relationships with clients and vendors.
