Position Overview:
As a Senior Financial and Accounting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and insights to management and client organizations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Offer expert advice and counsel to enhance decision-making processes.
2. Conduct in-depth analyses and special studies to develop actionable recommendations.
3. Formulate and implement innovative strategies and programs in response to evolving business conditions.

Core Duties:
- Establish and enforce policies and practices within the Finance and Accounting division.
- Collaborate with IT teams to streamline and automate financial processes.

Subject Matter Expertise:
- Serve as the leading expert for specific business units.

Process Development:
- Create and refine processes that significantly influence business operations.
- Develop metrics to assess the quality and accuracy of internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to recommendations from internal and external auditors.
- Document existing processes across various business units and identify potential risks, proposing enhancements and innovations.
- Report on compliance performance to senior management and review business unit procedures to align with risk management policies.

Financial Oversight:
- Lead company-wide depreciation studies and represent the organization in high-level meetings.
- Oversee activities related to fixed asset depreciation and the allocation of construction overheads.
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger data, including journal entry preparation.
- Prepare and interpret regulatory reports and financial statements.

Compliance and Controls:
- Implement and manage internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor and supervise team members, conducting performance evaluations and making recommendations for merit increases.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- At least seven years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.

Preferred Skills:
- Strong background in developing controls and oversight procedures, with knowledge of regulatory processes.
- Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult on complex accounting issues.
