Overview
The Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and insights to management and client teams. This position involves conducting in-depth analyses, developing strategic alternatives, and presenting actionable recommendations to influence key business decisions. The analyst will research and implement innovative strategies and processes to adapt to evolving internal and external environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Collect and evaluate essential data (demographics, conditions, costs, lifecycle) from diverse sources.
- Review business system data and compare actual performance against established targets.
- Assess business workflows, perform specialized studies, create alternatives, and provide recommendations to influence management decisions.
- Identify and propose long-term asset data management improvements to strategically balance risk and reward.
- Formulate and endorse long-term asset management programs.
- Implement optimal lifecycle and cost models for network assets.
- Oversee the budgeting process to ensure stakeholder needs are addressed.
- Simplify complex financial data for clear communication across the organization.
- Serve as the authority on maintaining the financial integrity of relevant data.
- Investigate and assess pertinent data, evaluate complex scenarios, devise innovative solutions, and negotiate favorable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least seven years of experience in a relevant field directly associated with the responsibilities of this position.
- Skills in program design, including the development of interventions, processes, or new or modified programs to meet client needs.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with team members and clients to promote positive outcomes.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering trust and understanding social dynamics.
- Capability to collaborate with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes.
- Proficient listening and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Skilled in using personal computers for data gathering, analysis, and summarization.
- Project management and leadership capabilities, including teamwork, maintaining project timelines, budgets, and fulfilling commitments.
- Knowledge of research, analysis, consulting techniques, and relevant company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Utility Operations within a financial capacity.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is advantageous.
• Experience in developing and managing budget/reporting processes.
• Ability to manage relationships with clients and vendors.
