Job Title: Administrative Assistant III

Bizzell Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III to support our client, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Program Office, and the Office of Chief Counsel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research, fact-finding, and problem-solving methods to support the DOT team.
  • Identify relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes, and other pertinent material.
  • Review and edit DOT legal forms and documents for accuracy.
  • Build and maintain database files.
  • Review and monitor new and updated laws and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
  • Attend meetings and take minutes that are clear and error-free.
Requirements:
  • Accurate typing of at least 60 wpm.
  • Highly proficient in the use of current Microsoft products.
  • Excellent tracking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Motivated, innovative, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to produce excellent work products with limited oversight.
  • Adept at establishing and maintaining relationships and partnerships within the Federal government and the communities that DOT serves.
Education and Experience:
  • Five (5) years of experience performing Paralegal duties without day-to-day direction.
  • Experience supporting senior-level managers.
  • Bachelor's degree. Juris Doctor preferred.
