Job Summary

The Market Asset Protection Manager is a key role within Bass Pro Shops, responsible for managing the Asset Protection program across multiple retail locations. This position requires a strong leader who can proactively protect company assets, including people, property, and proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shrink Reduction and Risk Management: Identify and implement procedures to minimize profit loss and shrink in the retail environment. This includes training Outfitters and Retail Managers on trends to help limit loss.
  • Internal and External Investigations: Perform timely, legal, and effective investigations that limit liability while reducing the overall impact to the company's bottom line.
  • Safety Security and Compliance Awareness: Manage Safety Security and Compliance Awareness to promote collaboration and assistance to protect Outfitters, customers, and bottom line.
  • Partnership Development: Develop professional working partnerships with regulatory agencies, police, retail Asset Protection departments, and store Outfitters to leverage overall improvement to retail operations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in criminology, business administration, or related discipline preferred. A combination of education and asset protection experience will be considered.
  • Asset Protection Experience: 2-4 years' experience in an Asset Protection role, with 2 or more years' experience in an Asset Protection supervisory or manager capacity.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess or be eligible to acquire state Security Guard license. Certification in Wicklander Zulawski Investigative Interviewing is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to various stores as required.
  • Physical Requirements: Regular computer work and sitting. Occasional walking, standing, and lifting.
