POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Consultant for Boats & ATVs engages in various selling and customer service tasks to assist customers in making knowledgeable purchasing decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and efficient shopping experience for all patrons.
  • Welcomes all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Consults with prospective buyers to assess their boating and ATV requirements.
  • Supplies essential information to empower customers in making informed purchasing choices.
  • Stays updated on product knowledge through available resources, including brochures, online materials, and training sessions.
  • Maintains awareness of promotional items, current pricing, and marketing campaigns.
  • Adheres to all sales training and guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Service Department to ensure a seamless delivery experience for customers.
  • Upholds confidentiality regarding all sensitive and personal information.
  • Prepares the showroom daily, ensuring proper signage and that all products are clean, presentable, and in sellable condition.
  • Manages leads and prospects using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool, entering new customer information and documenting follow-up activities.
  • Participates in special events such as trade shows and promotional events, completing all necessary paperwork accurately.
  • Aims to meet and exceed individual monthly sales targets based on employment status, scheduled hours, and historical performance.
  • Keeps a clean and professional workspace, following all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with management, colleagues, and customers.
  • Proficient in operating computer systems and Point of Sale register systems.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • N/A
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT:
  • Performs tasks under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and creativity. Makes recommendations to improve work processes and policies.
