Position Overview:

The Lead Audio-Visual Solutions Engineer is a seasoned professional in the realm of audio-visual technology, responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of A/V engineers. This role may also entail project management duties related to the design, installation, and commissioning of advanced meeting environments equipped with A/V technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of numerous A/V-enhanced conference rooms and video conferencing facilities, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Supervise the installation and setup of A/V equipment, including microphones, speakers, video screens, and projectors.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure A/V installations meet design specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assess customer preferences to recommend suitable equipment and solutions for A/V-enhanced environments.
  • Monitor project performance, addressing any variances or issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement a proactive maintenance program to ensure optimal operation of A/V equipment across all meeting spaces.
  • Track and report on the operational status of A/V facilities, initiating repairs and updates as necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve A/V equipment issues to maintain uninterrupted service.
  • Develop and maintain A/V equipment standards and documentation to ensure consistency across installations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to end-users, ensuring all A/V requirements for meetings and events are met to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Crestron and QSC systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven experience in A/V systems, including projectors and conferencing technologies.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in project management within a corporate or commercial setting.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred certifications: CTS-D, Crestron, and QSC.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in audio-visual operations and maintenance.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a contract duration that may extend based on business needs. The role requires travel to various locations and may offer a hybrid work model at the supervisor's discretion.
