Position Overview:
The Lead Audio-Visual Systems Engineer is a seasoned professional in the audio-visual domain, responsible for overseeing and mentoring a team of A/V engineers. This role may also entail acting as a Project Manager for the design, installation, and commissioning of meeting environments that incorporate advanced A/V technology and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of numerous A/V-enhanced conference rooms and video conferencing facilities, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Supervise the installation and setup of equipment such as microphones, speakers, video displays, and recording devices, while also personally handling installations as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure A/V equipment is installed according to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Assess customer needs to recommend appropriate equipment and solutions, utilizing insights to design and commission new or upgraded A/V spaces.
  • Monitor project performance, addressing variances and issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement a proactive maintenance program for A/V equipment to ensure optimal performance across all meeting spaces.
  • Track and report on the operational status of A/V facilities, initiating repairs and updates as necessary.
  • Diagnose and resolve A/V equipment issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Develop and maintain A/V equipment standards and documentation to ensure consistency across installations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to end-users, ensuring all A/V requirements for meetings and events are met with the highest standards.

Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Crestron and QSC systems.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of A/V systems and technologies, including video and audio conferencing solutions.
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in project management within a corporate or commercial setting.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:
  • Preferred certifications: CTS-D, Crestron, and QSC.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in audio-visual operations and maintenance.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role requires maintaining A/V-enhanced spaces both onsite and remotely, with travel expected to be between 25% to 40% primarily to local locations.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $138,000. Advanced Systems Group LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
