Position Overview

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is seeking a dedicated Records Specialist responsible for managing and maintaining critical criminal records. This role emphasizes the importance of public trust and the provision of efficient services that reflect a commitment to quality and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the central repository of criminal arrest warrants and court-sanctioned injunctions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.
  • Process and validate warrant entries to prevent wrongful removals from the database.
  • Provide essential verification services for Domestic Violence Orders of Protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of stolen vehicles, missing persons, and other critical data.
  • Assist in the training and compliance of terminal operators with FBI regulations.
  • Respond to public inquiries and provide customer service at the service counter.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of experience in administrative or clerical roles.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 30 words per minute, verified by an appropriate certification.
  • A clean driving record without any suspensions or revocations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in processing law enforcement or court records.
