Job Summary

The Intake Specialist will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Catholic Charities of Central Texas' Refugee Support Services. This position is responsible for conducting telephone intake and eligibility screenings for potential clients seeking services under the Refugee Support Services (RSS) Grant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the telephone intake and eligibility screening of potential clients for the Refugee Support Services (RSS) Grant
  • Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of the Diocese of Austin in both professional and personal life
  • Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
  • Continuously grow in ministry by participating in religious ceremonies, training sessions, and reflection activities as directed
  • Complete initial assessments of client qualifications for each program
  • Maintain client data in compliance with organization protocols and grants/contracts
  • Provide orientation, training, and supervision to intake volunteers
  • Assist in proposal and grant report preparation as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited American university or equivalent in a foreign country
  • Years of experience may be substituted for the educational requirement at a ratio of one (2) years of full-time wage-earning experience equals one (1) year of education
  • Experience working with diverse populations, with refugee social service programs preferred
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period
Work Environment

Catholic Charities of Central Texas is an at-will employer. All buildings and vehicles owned by Catholic Charities of Central Texas are tobacco-free. This position may require working some evenings and weekends.
