About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to join our team at Amerita. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of patient referrals and admissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process patient referrals and admissions in a timely manner
  • Gather necessary patient information to create patient records
  • Verify insurance coverage and authorize services
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or some college preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience collecting referral information in the healthcare market
  • Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance companies
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification procedures
