Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects, developing and monitoring work plans, and evaluating and prioritizing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate projects and activities for the Branch, including developing and monitoring work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Evaluate and prioritize activities, and coordinate and facilitate the development of processes with stakeholders and DSHS staff.
Plan, develop, manage, implement, and monitor continuous quality improvement and technology upgrade projects for the Branch.
Provide customer and legislative requested laboratory data, statistical analyses, and written reports.
Maintain and improve overall customer satisfaction of Branch programs through effective communication.
Serve as the Branch contact and coordinator for Continuity of Operations activities.
Act as a branch liaison with DSHS and HHSC IT governance.
Develop intake requests for IT governance system, present intakes to branch governance board, and answer any questions from Division, Agency, and/or IT management.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public health, business administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in project coordination, management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of project management concepts, including developing and monitoring work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and DSHS staff.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and prioritize activities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions:
This position is located in Austin, Texas, and requires regular attendance at meetings and events.
The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate and prioritize activities.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Essential Functions:
EJF1. Manage and coordinate continuous quality improvement, technology/application upgrade projects for the Branch.
EJF2. Serve as a representative to DSHS and HHSC IT governance.
EJF3. Perform and provide assistance to customer services activities.
EJF4. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of public health laboratories and laboratory information management systems.
Knowledge of project management concepts, including developing and monitoring work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Skill in effective customer service practices.
Skill in synthesizing and analyzing complex information for a variety of purposes.

Skill in oral and written communication.
Ability to prepare concise reports, develop and evaluate policies and procedures, and plan for following action needed.
Ability to utilize computer programs for spreadsheet analysis, database analysis, word processing, and laboratory information management systems.
