Job Overview

Base-2 Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Senior Test Engineer to lead our testing and evaluation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in testing methodologies and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Level 1 testing tasks based on technical training and prior experience.
  • Conduct research and apply knowledge of government testing and evaluation principles to enhance T&E activities.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive performance analyses.
  • Review acquisition strategies to ensure alignment with T&E schedules and decision-maker requirements.
  • Identify and analyze performance risk areas to inform T&E planning.
  • Specify and validate modeling and simulation tools for effective T&E application.
  • Utilize statistical analysis to assess variations in performance behavior and build confidence in performance estimates.
  • Select and develop appropriate analysis tools for testing purposes.
  • Implement evaluation plans based on data gathered from testing activities.
  • Design and execute performance data collection strategies.
  • Coordinate testing programs and events to ensure data collection aligns with critical decision points.
  • Establish and maintain data and configuration management practices.
  • Support data authentication processes and adhere to discrepancy reporting standards.
  • Evaluate operational and system performance requirements to prioritize T&E objectives.
  • Collaborate with systems engineering teams to leverage functional analysis and inform evaluation planning.
  • Assess operational environments to select scenarios for evaluation and coordinate user involvement in T&E.
  • Plan risk-tailored performance estimation and analysis of system effectiveness and suitability metrics.
  • Design surveys to gather insights from subject matter experts and users regarding performance.
  • Participate in integrated product teams for coordination of evaluation plans.
  • Produce comprehensive evaluation documentation, including plans, reports, and risk assessments.
  • Design data sampling strategies to optimize information gathering while managing testing uncertainties.
  • Coordinate and calibrate instrumentation and data management tools.
  • Ensure test readiness through participant training and compliance with security and legal standards.
  • Execute testing and data collection in accordance with established plans.
  • Generate associated test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Provide technical direction for Level 1 tasks to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with government sponsors to facilitate task implementation.
  • Stay informed on current agency and international standards relevant to system development.
  • Lead T&E tasks and serve as the primary liaison for contract coordination.
  • Communicate effectively with government and contract management regarding issues and solutions.
  • Maintain team independence to support objective management of testing processes.
  • Oversee T&E resources and ensure quality assurance of testing outcomes.
  • Integrate evaluation and testing tasks for cohesive project execution.
  • Drive innovation in response to program changes and manage associated risks.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in testing and evaluation for complex programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Math, Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Additional experience may substitute for formal education.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience in executing testing and data collection plans.
  • Ability to produce detailed test plans and technical documentation.
  • Experience in Agile software development environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
