Supply Chain Purchasing Leader

LaBine and Associates is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Purchasing Leader to join our team. This role is pivotal in collaborating with both domestic and international teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained. The successful candidate will oversee all procurement and logistics activities essential for the seamless operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the supply chain operations, focusing on inventory management, order timing, and distribution logistics.
  • Engage with suppliers and vendors to address all supply chain-related inquiries.
  • Facilitate order placements and manage vendor quality assurance.
  • Maintain and update the shipping information and order tracking systems.
  • Ensure accurate product data is reflected in the ERP system, including weights and barcodes.
  • Collaborate on product launches, managing initial procurement responsibilities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive purchasing and inventory database, including pricing and stock levels.
  • Gather and organize product specifications and maintain data files.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders effectively.
  • Coordinate the tracking of incoming shipments.
  • Analyze inventory reports to adjust forecasts and order quantities as necessary.
  • Safeguard proprietary information confidentiality.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Utilize inventory systems to support operational planning.
  • Monitor inventory forecasts to identify necessary adjustments in supply chain activities.
  • Demonstrate expertise in purchasing, supply chain processes, and logistics.
  • Oversee the entire product order process from initiation to invoicing.
  • Communicate effectively with management to ensure accurate inventory control.
  • Provide inventory updates to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Authorize purchase orders in compliance with company policies.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers for international shipping and cost management.
  • Work with customs brokers to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure timely product delivery.
  • Proactively manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
  • Address excess or obsolete inventory challenges.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimize pricing and delivery terms.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis to support purchasing decisions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
  • Experience in procurement, manufacturing, and customer service.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Supply Chain Certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in operations and purchasing.
  • Management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the lighting industry is beneficial but not required.
