Position Overview

The Supply Chain Operations Associate plays a crucial role in managing and organizing materials, including the preparation and assembly of components for substation and transmission projects. This role involves the operation and upkeep of specialized equipment such as cranes and telehandlers. The associate collaborates closely with clients in the assembly of Conex units, ensuring that all necessary equipment is available and properly configured.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, transport, and manage materials at or near the work site.
  • Transfer materials from storage areas to specified locations based on sales documentation.
  • Assist clients in resolving shipping issues and handling defective items related to their orders.
  • Continuously enhance personal expertise in both general and specialized merchandise to better assist clients and colleagues.
  • Prepare products for shipment using various transportation methods, including common carriers and internal logistics.
  • Label materials accurately and maintain detailed records of inventory.
  • Construct and install shelving and racks as necessary.
  • Address customer concerns directly and work towards effective solutions for fabrication and site preparation challenges.
  • Operate material handling machinery, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to facilitate stock movement and organization.
  • Occasionally serve as a backup driver for deliveries as required.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all work areas.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid CDL-A License.
  • Understanding of safety protocols.
  • Competence in using software applications and ERP systems.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items.
  • Experience with operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Skilled in managing large vehicles in confined spaces.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Customer-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Frequent standing required.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close and distance vision, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
