Position Overview:
In the role of Floating Plant Clerk, you will be integral to the operational success of our asphalt facilities. This position involves travel to multiple sites, ensuring that administrative functions are executed efficiently. You will manage essential clerical tasks and maintain vital records within a semi-industrial setting, facilitating smooth interactions with both customers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective Communication: Foster strong relationships with customers and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and addressing inquiries promptly.
- Clerical Expertise: Perform a variety of administrative duties, including accounts payable processing, payroll entry, and daily mail management, ensuring office operations run smoothly.
- Transaction Management: Utilize the Peckham POS system to accurately handle scale tickets for sales, adhering to established protocols.
- Data Integrity: Oversee plant reporting systems by accurately entering daily sales, incoming materials, and production data to support informed decision-making.
- Fuel Management: Track fuel deliveries and manage ordering processes, ensuring sufficient supply levels for uninterrupted operations.
- Inventory Oversight: Conduct regular checks on inventory and coordinate the procurement of office supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) to meet operational demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
