Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maintenance Administrator to support the Distribution Center (DC) maintenance departments. The successful candidate will coordinate and sustain procurement activities, ensuring the smooth operation of facilities, material handling equipment, and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain distribution machinery and equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and good maintenance practices.
  • Record and report departmental monthly and year-end budget numbers.
  • Purchase, receive, and control inventory of parts, materials, and supplies for the department and general DC.
  • Responsible for all parts issues, new and rebuilt, and creates reports, correspondence, and documents using Word and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Document and track department expenditures for Building Repairs, Janitorial, and Equipment Repairs, providing explanations for monthly/annual expense overages.
  • Monitor daily transactions in department variable accounts, notifying managers of overages and supplying documentation to support overages.
  • Originate, negotiate, investigate, and invite vendors to bid on supplies, materials, and material handling spare parts, developing bid documents for pricing.
  • Track and close all vendor work orders, compiling them into the CMMS system, and review and report discrepancies in vendor orders, pricing, deliveries, and warranties.
  • Promptly and accurately file and match invoices to purchase orders for prompt payment to vendors and suppliers.
  • Responsible for radio issues, including audits, repairs, and negotiating purchase prices.
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to maintain MSDS logs to OSHA standards.
  • Exercise independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in performing daily work tasks and support the safety program documentation.
