Senior Information Technology Policy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Technology Policy Advisor to join our team at the State of Connecticut. As a key member of our Office of Policy and Management, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing statewide technology policy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and provide advice to the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management on statewide technology policy matters.
- Convene and facilitate across state agencies to maximize the return on information technology capital investment program.
- Develop and implement an integrated set of policies governing the use of information and telecommunications systems for state agencies.
- Promote technology systems that support the state's goals.
- Develop, in conjunction with the State Chief Information Officer, a statewide technology plan.
- Seven (7) years of experience with major responsibility for the review, development and administration of policy initiatives and large scale projects or programs in a large governmental organization.
- Considerable knowledge of administrative and management principles and practices, relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations, and principles and practices of public administration.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate complex policy issues, coordinate and implement policy development activities, and prepare and present effective reports and presentations.
- Experience developing and implementing Information Technology and Financial Management policy.
- Experience leading change through strategic planning, innovation, information technology financial management, methodology and framework.
- Experience implementing and monitoring Information Technology plans and budgets to achieve statewide goals.
