Position Overview

Mackay Sposito is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Stormwater Management Field Technician. This position is perfect for those who appreciate outdoor work and thrive in a collaborative environment. The role is seasonal and physically demanding, focusing on the management of invasive plant species within stormwater facilities, as well as engaging in various stormwater-related tasks, including mowing and tree maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine upkeep of stormwater systems, including the removal of debris from drains and culverts.
  • Perform regular assessments of stormwater facilities, documenting any potential concerns.
  • Ensure stormwater systems comply with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Carry out repairs on stormwater infrastructure, including pipe maintenance and sediment removal.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Prepare and submit reports regarding the condition of stormwater systems, noting any issues or suggested enhancements.
  • Stay updated on relevant stormwater regulations at local, state, and federal levels to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to tow trailers.
  • Experience in operating power tools safely, including lawn mowers and brush cutters.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and overtime as needed.
  • Capability to receive confined space training and operate safely in such environments.
  • Adherence to strict safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
