Ioc Company LLC is a growing local transportation company seeking a skilled Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will play a critical role in managing our inventory of frequently used parts for company trucking operations.

Job Summary

The Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for identifying frequently used parts, maintaining adequate stock levels, and ordering parts from vendors. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify frequently used parts and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Order and track parts from vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
  • Partner with operations to develop best practices for preventative maintenance schedules
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor in supervising maintenance department
  • Help plan and execute maintenance projects
  • Communicate effectively with department mechanics and management
  • Accurately document hours worked, tasks performed, materials used, and inventory replenishments
  • Utilize independent judgment and discretion to identify potential issues and solve problems
  • Proactively identify and report any unsafe conditions, hazards, or code violations
  • Learn and utilize computer-based labor, material, and maintenance tracking system
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year experience with parts inventory
  • The ability to identify parts and order parts from vendors
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow established processes
  • Computer skills with MS Office Suite experience to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize computer-based labor, inventory, and maintenance tracking applications
  • Physical ability to lift and move items, parts, assemblies, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License issued in the United States
  • Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with parts inventory and purchasing
  • Experience with Mechanical Maintenance Systems and Practices
  • Experience with cycle counts and inventory controls/theories
  • Experience with trucking operations
