Job Summary

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer I to join our team at Blue Origin. As an Industrial Engineer I, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of industrial engineering solutions to support the company's space operations and aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement industrial engineering solutions to improve efficiency and productivity in space operations and aerospace systems.
  • Conduct time studies, work sampling, and statistical analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement facility layouts and manufacturing processes to optimize production and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement lean and six sigma projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for Blue Origin's mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with facility layout planning and design.
  • Lean and six sigma certification.
  • Experience with time studies and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
