Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Manager leads our finance department, ensuring thorough oversight of all financial functions. This role involves managing routine accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, developing budgets, and strategically allocating financial resources.

This vital position demands a proactive mindset, outstanding leadership capabilities, technical proficiency, and the ability to deliver sharp financial insights.

These insights will empower the Service Operations team to pursue continuous improvement initiatives.

Ultimately, the Financial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in our unwavering commitment to excellence, supporting both our workforce and our clients.

Given the size and nature of our organization, a successful candidate must be comfortable with ambiguity, hands-on responsibilities, and strategic tasks.

This position primarily operates in a remote work setting, with occasional in-person office attendance expected, possibly 1-2 days per month.

Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the designated area.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct, manage, and execute the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, financial reporting, and other related functions.

Collaborate with our outsourced Certified Public Accountant firm and banking partners. Oversee the generation of accurate, compliant, and insightful periodic financial statements. Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Coordinate and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the Director of Business Operations to develop financial plans and targets.

Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancements, and operational efficiency improvements.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives.

Mentor and develop finance team members, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and ensure departmental effectiveness.

Serve as an escalation point for issues related to aging accounts receivable. Other duties as assigned.
