Overview of the Role

The Senior Portfolio Manager is tasked with representing institutional clients, including foundations, endowments, and non-profit entities. This position is pivotal in executing trades, overseeing performance reporting systems, rebalancing portfolios, and preparing for client meetings or inquiries. Collaborating with the Client Centric Team, the manager will assist in crafting investment policy statements, determining asset allocations, and coordinating investment selections while ensuring that client portfolios align with their objectives. This role emphasizes adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with both prospective and current clients regularly to maintain transparent communication regarding portfolio status, economic conditions, and wealth management strategies.
  • Oversee ongoing trading activities and performance reporting, including account rebalancing and overall portfolio management.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge and expertise to propose innovative strategies for managing client wealth effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to finalize investment policy statements.
  • Devise and recommend strategies that align with clients' investment goals, working closely with the in-house Research Team and Wealth Management Team.
  • Manage all aspects of client portfolios, including executing trades, maintaining investment action plans, and conducting necessary reviews.
  • Work alongside the Research Team and Wealth Management Team to enhance after-tax portfolio performance through strategic construction and trade recommendations.
  • Conduct performance reviews with select clients, partnering with the Research Team to analyze market changes and ensure appropriate asset allocations.
  • Implement and execute innovative investment strategies and risk mitigation approaches in collaboration with the Research Team and Wealth Management Team.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for Institutional Clients regarding portfolio strategies and performance reporting tools.
  • Provide analytical support for various client projects.
  • Participate in assigned workgroups and projects.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications for Success
  • A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in responding to Requests For Proposals (RFPs) related to investment management and managing institutional portfolios.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is highly preferred.
