Customer Service & Corporate Support Specialist

Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to actively endorse and facilitate the TCC Materials and Amcon Concrete Products offerings in collaboration with external sales teams and distribution personnel. A significant focus is placed on ensuring effective communication with external clients and providing essential internal support for corporate initiatives.

This position is crucial for managing daily customer interactions and supporting both regional and national accounts. The role involves reporting directly to the Vice President & General Manager of Amcon Concrete Products while collaborating closely with other Corporate Managers on various assignments, necessitating the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handle incoming inquiries via phone, email, and fax from both internal and external clients, addressing topics such as orders, technical inquiries, pricing concerns, and customer support.
  2. Document questions, issues, and resolutions in a shared system to ensure proper follow-up and identify potential product concerns.
  3. Collaborate with dispatch, production, and sales representatives to assist with order entry, BOM requests, and incomplete orders, ensuring a smooth and accurate order fulfillment process.
  4. Utilize the Netsuite ERP system daily to manage product and pricing information effectively.
  5. Develop a comprehensive understanding of TCC Materials and Amcon Concrete Products to meet customer needs and identify growth opportunities.
  6. Assist in preparing pricing quotes and annual pricing documents, distributing them to clients as necessary.
  7. Contribute to the creation of sales reports and forecasts, maintaining meticulous records of all relevant information.
  8. Participate in sales meetings, preparing necessary reports and managing information discussed during these sessions.
  9. Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales roles to ensure consistent and effective sales practices.
  10. Cross-train with other corporate team members to provide support as needed.
  11. Maintain accurate records and prepare required documentation for account contacts, utilizing Prophet CRM to log customer interactions.
  12. Support corporate activities such as shipping samples, collecting parcels, ordering supplies, and planning events.
  13. Perform all tasks with a high level of attention to detail, ensuring proper formatting and grammar.
  14. Foster effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and clients, promoting the company's professional image and ensuring timely problem resolution.
  15. Execute additional duties as assigned by TCC Materials Management.

Qualifications

A college degree is required, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Knowledge or experience in the commercial and residential construction materials sector is advantageous.

Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential.

Proficiency in a PC Windows environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze and manage data effectively.

Strong presentation skills in one-on-one and small group settings are necessary.
