Role Summary

The Senior Oncology Nurse Educator will play a pivotal role in the Great Lakes Territory, encompassing key areas such as Michigan, Indiana, and Chicago, IL. This position is integral to providing comprehensive education regarding clinical administration, dosing, and disease management associated with Gilead's oncology products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational sessions to healthcare professionals, including Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, to facilitate the effective use of Gilead's products.
  • Utilize specialized knowledge to engage in clinical discussions surrounding product information and disease states.
  • Provide clear and impactful educational content tailored to the needs of various healthcare accounts.
  • Build trust and credibility with healthcare providers by understanding their operational practices and decision-making processes.
  • Develop educational plans with specific objectives and allocate resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer engagement and address their needs.
  • Maintain high professional standards in all interactions with colleagues and external partners.
  • Complete administrative tasks efficiently, including database updates and expense reporting.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess one of the following educational backgrounds:

  • Associate's Degree with ten years of experience and an active RN license.
  • Bachelor's Degree with eight years of experience and an active RN license.
  • Master's Degree with six years of experience and an active RN license.
  • Ph.D. with an active RN license.

Additional requirements include:

  • A current RN license in good standing.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in hematology/oncology.
  • Five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including roles as an Oncology Clinical Nurse Educator.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) is highly desirable.
