Role Summary

The Senior Oncology Nurse Educator will play a pivotal role in the Great Lakes Territory, which encompasses key regions. This position is integral to our Oncology Franchise, where you will provide essential education to healthcare professionals regarding Gilead's products and their clinical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive education to non-physician healthcare providers, including Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, to facilitate optimal patient care and product utilization.
  • Engage in clinical discussions that encompass product knowledge and disease state terminology, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Tailor educational presentations to meet the specific needs of various audiences, maintaining engagement and adherence to guidelines.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals by understanding their operational practices and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement educational plans that align with customer needs, incorporating Gilead's resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer insights and address educational requirements.
  • Manage travel and field activities efficiently to maximize impact.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly, including database updates and expense reports.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • An active RN license in good standing.
  • Clinical experience in hematology/oncology, with a minimum of three years.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in an Oncology Nurse Educator capacity.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) is highly desirable.
