About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing and Partnership Development Manager to join our team at Climeworks. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) supply partnerships to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner Identification: Collaborate with senior team members to identify potential partners across carbon removal technologies and explore new market opportunities.
  • Partnership Support: Assist in defining desired partnership terms and provide support in external contract negotiations, interfacing with internal Legal and Science teams to develop contract agreements.
  • Funnel Management and Supplier Conversion: Support in managing suppliers across the entire partnership lifecycle, from setting up NDAs and MoUs to identifying needs, developing commercial terms sheets, and contract drafting.
  • Ecosystem Building & Market Insights: Contribute to building and expanding Climeworks' ecosystem and network, including creation of external publications.
  • Reporting & Inventory Management: Develop and maintain reporting & inventory management systems to track partnership progress and developments, joining regular discussions with company leadership on progress and strategy.
  • Collaboration: Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination in risk management efforts.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic record in a relevant field (e.g., Business/ Finance, Sciences) and 3-5 years' work experience in a fast-moving environment (Banking, PE, Consulting, Startup).
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to interface with senior external partners and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for sustainability and climate action.
  • Proactive team player, eager to contribute to the growth of Climeworks' partnerships and network.
  • Familiarity with carbon removal technologies and carbon markets is a plus.
