Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will lead the financial and accounting operations for WSTHOF Americas, a mid-sized consumer goods enterprise.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reconciling the general ledger, as well as managing the annual audit process. You will supervise the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments and contribute to financial planning and analysis. This position is crucial for daily financial transactions and includes the management of a team of two. As the Accounting Manager, you will also implement and enhance existing accounting policies and procedures while overseeing expenditure. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance / CFO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate financial reports, oversee the monthly closing of financials, conduct account reconciliations, and manage the year-end audit process.
  • Supervise Accounts Receivable - ensure timely and precise cash application and processing of customer deductions. Monitor and enhance AR aging status.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable - guarantee timely and accurate invoice payments, including necessary approvals. Ensure proper filings through third parties and compliance with state sales and use taxes.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic re-forecasts.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a positive demeanor and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Capacity to work independently and complete assignments within the parameters of given instructions, established routines, and accepted practices.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven management experience.
  • At least 3 years of general accounting experience in a comparable environment.
