Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

  • Direct oversight of Staff Accountants.
  • Acting as the client representative for corporations as designated by the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Managing the complete accounting cycle for client companies, which includes reviewing monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Evaluating and analyzing Financial Statements prepared by Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all related schedules and analyses.
  • Supervising the preparation of annual Uniform Financial Reports along with the necessary supporting schedules for the companies.
  • Reviewing and analyzing materials essential for the completion of annual audits prepared by Staff Accountants.
  • Overseeing the Budget Preparation process for client corporations.
  • Managing the renewal of insurance policies for assigned client companies.
  • Assisting the Chief Financial Officer and/or CEO with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required.
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer or the CEO.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • A CPA license is preferred.
