We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant for a contract-to-hire position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the processing of daily sales invoices.
- Ensure the maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and various accruals.
- Prepare journal entries and execute month-end closing activities.
- Support the maintenance of internal controls and the development of new operational processes.
- Adhere to sales and use tax regulations.
- Handle employee expense report processing.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts and comprehensive inventory analysis.
- Assist in lease management and tenant rent processing, along with vendor claim processing.
- Analyze financial data to uncover trends, variances, and areas for enhancement.
- Engage in annual reviews with external accountants.
- Cross-train on various team member tasks, including Cash Receipts, Collections, and matching inventory receipts to vendor invoices.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Experience with general ledger operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to adapt to various ERP software.
- Strong communication and analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
