Position Objective:
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding the company's reach within the assigned territory, which includes multiple states. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, focusing on both external and internal engagement within the independent pharmacy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive membership growth for AAP and increase sales through API Warehouse.
  • Foster long-term relationships with pharmacy owners by:
    • Maintaining a consistent schedule of sales calls.
    • Providing valuable insights into the retail pharmacy landscape.
  • Enhance managed care enrollment initiatives.
  • Develop and promote key strategic programs within AAP.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, legislative changes, and managed care developments to keep stakeholders updated.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to maintain accurate and timely information for members and prospects.
  • Efficiently manage the assigned territory to optimize costs and resources.
  • Represent AAP in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of proven outside sales experience.
  • Experience in the retail independent pharmacy sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy managed care is advantageous.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations, both in-person and virtually.
  • Strong listening skills to understand client needs and perspectives.
  • Financial acumen to conduct thorough financial analyses.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
