Position Objective:
The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding the company's reach within the assigned territory, which includes multiple states. This role requires a proactive approach to sales, focusing on both external and internal engagement within the independent pharmacy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive membership growth for AAP and increase sales through API Warehouse.
- Foster long-term relationships with pharmacy owners by:
- Maintaining a consistent schedule of sales calls.
- Providing valuable insights into the retail pharmacy landscape.
- Enhance managed care enrollment initiatives.
- Develop and promote key strategic programs within AAP.
- Stay informed on industry trends, legislative changes, and managed care developments to keep stakeholders updated.
- Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to maintain accurate and timely information for members and prospects.
- Efficiently manage the assigned territory to optimize costs and resources.
- Represent AAP in a professional manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of proven outside sales experience.
- Experience in the retail independent pharmacy sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with pharmacy managed care is advantageous.
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations, both in-person and virtually.
- Strong listening skills to understand client needs and perspectives.
- Financial acumen to conduct thorough financial analyses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
