Position Overview

The Human Resources Recruitment Specialist plays a vital role in supporting our HR department by managing personnel documentation, overseeing HR processes, and maintaining accurate internal records. This position serves as the primary contact for assisting staff with employment-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires and ensure timely communication with Payroll and IT for system access.
  • Assist in the collection and management of data for new hires, including background checks, to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Verify the accuracy of new hire documentation and make necessary adjustments to the HRIS database.
  • Notify the payroll department promptly regarding any required corrections.
  • Utilize provided documentation to apply relevant codes for reporting purposes.
  • Participate in HR initiatives, such as job fairs, as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal and state employment regulations.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in hiring and changes in employment legislation.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
Additional Duties
  • Support the recruitment and hiring process by assisting local offices, administering pre-employment assessments, and processing necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain credentialing for third-party administrators.
  • Provide relevant employee information to the payroll department, including updates to new hire documents and termination notices.
  • Reconcile billing statements and submit them to the Accounts Payable department.
  • Maintain human resource information system records and generate reports as needed.
  • Address employee inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Review and maintain I-9 documentation for new hires.
  • Update HRIS records and process paperwork for new hires, terminations, and other status changes.
  • Assist with recruitment and interview processes as necessary.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of customer service principles.
  • Work effectively under time constraints to meet specific deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and a commitment to safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Attend required training sessions related to operations and safety.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional lifting of 5-40 lbs without assistance (up to 15% of the time).
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for keyboarding and repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to bend, crouch, or stand as necessary.
