Childcare Center Administrator

Job Overview:
Rainbow Land Preschool-Daycare is a dedicated Child Care facility that accommodates up to 68 children, ranging from infants to school-age. Our mission is to create a nurturing, engaging, and secure educational environment that fosters the holistic development of each child.
The Center Administrator plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the center. This includes staff supervision, curriculum development, and program management. The Administrator is tasked with ensuring that all services provided align with licensing regulations and the center's mission and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the overall welfare of children.
- Establish and maintain safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Recruit, hire, and support a skilled and motivated staff while facilitating their professional growth.
- Set clear expectations for staff performance.
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents.
- Oversee the center's operations to ensure long-term financial stability.
- Implement policies and directives established by the Board of Directors.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements at all times.
- Plan and execute educational policies and related activities.
- Manage the recruitment and enrollment processes for children.
- Supervise curriculum selection and implementation.
- Encourage parental involvement in educational initiatives.
- Coordinate janitorial services and facility maintenance.
- Foster positive relationships among staff members.
- Implement health and safety policies.
- Maintain partnerships with local and regional businesses.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess experience in a preschool or daycare setting, coupled with strong leadership capabilities. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 21 years and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of at least one course in business administration or 12 hours of administrative training related to personnel management, record keeping, or budgeting, or possess one year of relevant administrative experience.
- Meet the Department of Human Services requirements through a combination of education, experience, and child development training.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Possess exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Exhibit a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.
- Hold certifications in infant, child, and adult CPR, first aid, and mandatory reporting of child abuse.
- Successfully pass federal and state background checks.
